Terms of Service
Effective 6 November 2026
About these terms
Prastav is an AI workbench for organisations in the development sector, operated by Prakash Kumar, Ranchi, Jharkhand, India ("Prastav", "we", "us"). It helps prepare project proposals, concept notes and case studies, assesses the quality of a proposal, and offers free tools including a website scorecard and an accreditation readiness check. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
What Prastav does
Prastav helps you draft, improve and format project proposals and concept notes, write designed case studies, assess the quality of a proposal, score how your organisation's website reads to a funder, and check your organisation's readiness for accreditation. It draws on the information you provide and on cited public sources. It is a tool that assists your work. You remain the author of what you make with it, and you are responsible for reviewing, editing and verifying everything before you submit, publish or share it with any donor or third party.
Disclaimer
Everything Prastav produces comes from a thought engine that combines deep development-sector expertise with AI; it is an augmentation of professional knowledge, not output of a machine alone. Its quality depends on the information you provide and on how you refine it.
You must review and validate every part of what Prastav produces, including all facts, figures, budget rates, names and claims, before you submit, publish or use it. Prastav does not guarantee that any proposal or concept note will secure funding, and nothing it produces is legal, financial or professional advice. Once you submit, publish or use a document, it is yours alone, and its ownership rests entirely with you.
Your account
You must provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at hello@prastav.app if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Prastav for anything unlawful, to upload content you do not have the right to use, to submit personal or sensitive data about individuals without a lawful basis, or to attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the service. You are responsible for the content you submit and generate.
Your content and the generated output
The inputs you provide, including documents and photographs, remain yours. Subject to payment where applicable, what Prastav generates for you is yours to use for your own purposes.
AI-generated text can contain errors, omissions or figures that need checking. Prastav aims to cite sources and flag unverified numbers, but it does not guarantee accuracy or completeness. You must review and verify the output, including all facts, figures and claims, before relying on it, submitting it or publishing it. Prastav does not guarantee that any proposal will secure funding, and nothing it produces is legal, financial or professional advice.
Case studies about people
A case study may name or show people, families, communities and organisations. Before you use Prastav to write about a person, or upload a photograph in which anyone can be recognised, you must have that person's informed consent to be named or shown and for the case study to be published. For a child under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or guardian.
Where consent to be named is not available, or a person could be harmed by being identified, choose the option to change names in the case-study wizard, and do not upload photographs that identify them. Do not include details that could put someone at risk, such as an exact address, or health, caste or legal details, unless the person has agreed and it is necessary for the case study.
You are responsible for obtaining these consents and for these choices. Prastav does not check them.
The website scorecard
The website scorecard reads the public pages of the website address you give, as any visitor could, on the day it runs, and scores them against criteria Prastav sets. Nothing on the website is changed.
The scorecard is Prastav's opinion of how the site presents to a funder. It is not an audit, a certification, a rating of the organisation or its work, or a statement that the organisation complies with any law. It reflects the site on the day it was read and may change as the site changes.
The scorecard is offered for Indian non-profit organisations, CSR foundations, social enterprises and community institutions such as FPOs, cooperatives and SHG federations. Other websites are not assessed. Use it for your own organisation's site or for a site you have been asked to review, and do not publish a scorecard of another organisation's site without that organisation's agreement.
The proposal assessment
The proposal assessment reads the draft you upload or paste and scores it against criteria Prastav sets, with a report in English or Hindi. The draft is kept with the assessment in your account so that you can improve it later without uploading it again, and is removed when you delete the assessment or your account.
The assessment is Prastav's opinion of the draft as written. It does not predict whether any donor will fund the proposal, and it is not a review by or on behalf of any donor. Upload only drafts you are entitled to share with us, such as your own organisation's proposals or ones you have been asked to review.
The accreditation readiness check
The accreditation readiness check is a self-assessment based only on your own answers. Its result and report card are not an accreditation or certification, do not predict the outcome of any accreditation, and are not endorsed by any accrediting body. Your answers are not saved by Prastav.
Fees and payment
Where a product is paid, the fee is shown before you buy, and the completed product is made available to download once payment succeeds. Discounts and access codes, where offered, apply as stated at the time. Any taxes, where applicable, are as shown. Refunds, cancellation and delivery are covered by our Refund, Cancellation & Delivery Policy at prastav.app/refunds. If you believe you were charged in error, contact hello@prastav.app and we will look into it.
Unpaid drafts: you may hold up to 2 unpaid drafts at a time, each counted for 7 days from creation, including drafts you delete. An unpaid draft stays open for 7 days; it is then locked as expired, can be restored by paying within the following 30 days, and is then permanently deleted. If a draft expires unpaid, new proposals must be paid for before generation until you next pay for a proposal. Drafts that fail to generate because of a fault on our side do not count, and an upfront payment for a proposal that fails is kept as credit for your next proposal or refunded on request. Full details are on prastav.app/pricing.
Offers: Prastav may run automatic offers, such as founding member pricing, shown on prastav.app/pricing with their conditions and limits, and applied at payment without a code. Only one discount applies per proposal; where more than one is available, the larger applies. Offers may be changed or ended at any time without affecting payments already made.
The free tier
Every new account can use certain products free for two months from the date it registers, within the allowances shown at prastav.app/pricing. At present these are one concept note and two case studies in each 30-day period, and one proposal quality assessment in total. The website scorecard stays free after the two months, one per account every 30 days, and the accreditation readiness check is free without limit.
Beyond the allowance, or after the two months, a concept note or case study is still made, as a locked draft, and is unlocked by paying the price shown at prastav.app/pricing, in the same way as a proposal. The proposal quality assessment stays free; more than one can be requested from the proposal assessment page under Free tools.
An allowance is used when the product is generated. Deleting what was made does not restore it. A product that cannot be generated because of a fault on our side, or a website that is not assessed, does not use an allowance. Free products carry no charge, and no payment details are asked for.
Allowances are per person. Creating more than one account to obtain more free use is not permitted. We may change, limit or end the free tier or its allowances at any time; this does not take away anything you have already made.
Availability
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We work to keep it running and improving, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or suspend features.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Prastav and its operator are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on the output, including the content of a proposal, concept note, case study, scorecard or report card. For a paid product, our total liability for any claim relating to it is limited to the amount you paid for that product. Free products are provided without charge, and to the extent permitted by law we have no liability for them.
Intellectual property
The Prastav platform, its software, design and brand belong to its operator. These terms do not transfer any rights in the platform to you. Your own content and what Prastav generates for you remain yours as described above.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, misuses the free tier, or uses the service in a way that harms others or the service. You may stop using Prastav at any time and can ask us to delete your account and data.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service develops. When we do, we will change the effective date below and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Ranchi, Jharkhand have jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have under applicable consumer law.
